Imaginary conversation with my dog part 2

Coffee gets very excited recently.

I was taking him for a walk today, and decided to go beyond the safe, isolated, doggified estate to the precarious, exposed and humanfied heartland mall area.

He was tremendously happy, cause on every patch of grass there are messages left by dogs, like

'This is a really good patch of grass, pee here.'

or

'This is MY grass, do NOT pee.'

or

'Lets petition against picking up off poo. To support cause, please pee on this patch of grass (and poo too for good measure)

or

'Max was here.'

And he felt obliged, in his common doggy cause, to sniff every message and make some reply to this clandestine communication between canines called the Shebang (She-she, and bang bang, which is poo poo) Channel that we humans are not privy too.

I am pretty sure, given his childish and immature behavious, on every patch of grass he simply replied 'Me, me, me' to everything, just to be part of the gang.

Then, he found the perfect piece of land to bequest his most precious gift to earth, that if used correctly, can be fertiliser for more grass to grow, thus supporting the Shebang Channel.

Actually, i am not sure. He was probably heeding the 'Support not picking poo campaign.' In any case, as I was approaching the BUS TERMINAL (Where they are about, oh, hundred people or so.), he decided 'this is it!'

Now, Coffee, for those who have seen him, draws attention easily. That's because he is ridiculously fluffy and cute, with round adoring innocent angelic eyes that are the biggest lies on earth.

Anyway, as we approached the bus terminal, he suddenly did his infamous squatting posture.

Everyone was looking at him had two thoughts on their mind, consecutively:

1)'Wow, so cute!'

2)'What the....'

I dragged him anxiously to a teeny patch of grass, where he disgruntledly, but graciously, did his business. In front of the whole world. (There's nothing more unglam then a dog doing his business.)

After he apparently did it, he walked primly off the grass and did his customary spinning on the spot to, I don't know clean his butt via high velocity air or something. My family and I scourged the strangely clean patch of land.

'Where is it?'

Then my mother, along with all at the bus terminal, stared transfixed at the middle of the pathway.

'Hey... is that a tree branch or what I think it is?'

'Huh?'

Coffee spoke matter-of-factly 'I couldn't get it off. Why do you think I spin for?'

Oh my...

Inconsequential whinnings

Dear God,

The hand is truly a marvellous concoction of yours. The dexterity it afforded, the lovely shapliness of it present (in some people, esp belicia, which is ill given :P)the most distinctive part of the human race.

Still, though I know its absolutely necessary, but still...

Don't you think you have given the hand WAY too many muscles??!!??

(P.S. This is, of course, an irrelevant and rhetoric question that you need not anwer. I addressed it to you only because you seem to be the most appropriate person to do so, but please, ignore me.)

People, remember next time you do anything with you hands, even to cover that sneaky yawn, try to imagine the whole intricate system of muscles working together in harmony. Imagine next, how difficult it is to memorise everything. (I encourage you to have a look at wikipedia.)

I have finished whinning. Please ignore what I have just said.

Love
Chiawyee

P.P.S. By the by, I really can do without these 2 big zits on my chins, which are in such close proximity together i am afraid they may join forces and merge to form the mother of all zits.

P.P.P.S. That is also kind of irrelevant. (Actually it is not. You could pretend to remove it without my knowledge if possible. But I didn't say that.)

Everyone has, inevitably, a strange barrier that prevents us from excelling in medicine school (unless you are a certain genius from my class, which is a totally different story altogether.)

Most people shriek at blood, tissue, cuts, tendons, etc. Corpses.

I shriek at bones.

Ah yes, bones. Everytime the professor goes, clarical break, carpus break, radius break, ulna break, midshaft break, surgical neck break, phlangi break, break, break, i FEEL my corresponding bones breaking along with his instructions, until I am nothing but a lump of jelly quivering in the lecture seat.

I cannot be an orthopaedic. For obvious reasons.

And I flinched everytime they rotate the humerus to show us how it is done. With great gusto the professor will yank the poor begotten guy's arm frantically in all directions, his laspe capsula feebly attaching the bone to the socket (or Glenoid Cavity, as I am sternly told)which clung on back for dear life (in a manner of speaking). My empathy for bones is so great that I winced if I so much as stretch my hand to reach for my pencil. (Imagine your poor humerus turning agonisingly in the socket!! OMG OMG OMG)

Break, break.

And because of this great empathy, I have this weird notion of visualing mysekf as a skeleton doing whatever I am doing. I stop supporting my chin with my open palm cause the carpus or radial metacarpal joint or wrist or whatever looks way too unrealiable. Though I like naming them. Some Lovers Try Positions That They Cannot Handle :) (Scaphoid, Lumate, Triquetral, Pisiform, Trapezium, Trapezoid, Capitate, Hamate)

X-rays of fractures are far scarier than any ghost movies shown. Judt show me slides after slides of X-rays of fractures. I'll be scared for the rest of my life.

Bones are stronger than concrete? I think NOT.

My future husband, brother, close friends, whoever, better NOT be an orthopaedic.
