I found this poem, which has become my official new favourite. Pity about the morbid title. Everyone gave me a same expression when I told them what it was; the espression seems to say 'Typical and expected.' But its really good!

The Dead Woman by Pablo Neruda

(Yes, yes, i know. But it is not morbid! Really! It is an extremely well-expressived, wonderfully moving poetry)

If suddenly you do not exist,
if suddenly you no longer live,
I shall live on.

I do not dare,
I do not dare to write it,
if you die.

I shall live on.

For where a man has no voice,
there, my voice.

Where blacks are beaten,
I cannot be dead.
When my brothers go to prison
I shall go with them.

When victory,
not my victory,
but the great victory comes,
even though I am mute I must speak;
I shall see it come even
though I am blind.

No, forgive me.
If you no longer live,
if you, beloved, my love,
if you have died,
all the leaves will fall in my breast,
it will rain on my soul night and day,
the snow will burn my heart,
I shall walk with frost and fire and death and snow,
my feet will want to walk to where you are sleeping, but
I shall stay alive,
because above all things
you wanted me indomitable,
and, my love, because you know that I am not only a man
but all mankind.

P.S If Coffee is not really gay, by tomorrow he will definitely be. Tata!

Chiawyee has received the mother of all bruises on my butt and believed she would not be able to climb stairs without wincing for a very long period of time.

Dear God, if you are hearing this, now might, just might be a nice time to show me some magic!

My Dog is Gay

I mean, have you ever seen how male dogs pee?

This is how Coffee does it. I kid you not. He squats .

I have heard of cases where female dogs, becoming dominant under the influence of weak owners, actually raising their legs to pee. I haven't heard of male dogs, under the influence of terrifying and magnificent owners, reverting to the demure way of doing their business.

I was so worried, i actually dig through his fur to see if he has any testes. He does, but the fact that I have to dig to find them does not seem to bode well.

And of course, there were all those people on the street who invariably greet me with 'Oh, what a sweet dog. Is is a girl?'

The disgruntled owner says no.

'Are you sure?' They say doubtfully. This is rather incredible, do they expect me to mistake the sex of my dog? (This is like me mistaking the sex of my kid) 'He's so girl like.'

No, he's very macho like, despite the fact that he squats when he pees, and has a preference for flowers, particularly allamandas. Other than that, he is definitely boyish.

With regards to the last point, i am afraid it is through. Whenever a rain storm starts, Coffee will run out in estasy, collect a couple of torn allamandas in his mouth, and a couple more stuck to his chest, so that he looks so... handsome that is it very quite manly.

And there is my mon, who is forever threatening to tie his hair in pretty braids and ribbon that is sure to marr his dignified appearance.

'His hair is so long' said mama fondly.

'No, mama, no! I must defend him on this! Coffee is a boy; boys can't have ribbons on their hair. Its ridiculous. Besides, it will spoil his handsome appearance.'

Cue in Coffee at this point, carrying a couple more allamandas in his fur and chest, looking as though he will hardly object to more embellishments.

I am not gay

Maybe one day he will grow out of it. Maybe one day he will become as dignified as his appearance. If not, maybe I won't have to castrate him after all.
